Grant is the Managing Director of Douglas Marine Limited, has an honours degree in engineering and has been involved with boats since childhood.

He has worked at Douglas Boatyard since its purchase by Douglas Marine Limited in January 2000, and for the early years worked "hands on" gaining the knowledge and skills needed to build, repair and service all types of leisure craft. This knowledge and experience, coupled with his engineering background, ideally equips him for ensuring Douglas Marine Limited provides the high standards of service rightly demanded by customers.

Susan is Grant's wife and, because of her father's enthusiasm for boat fishing on the North Sea, she has also had an involvement with boats since childhood.

Susan initially joined the management team of Douglas Marine Limited for several years in 2004 and she returned in 2012 following the retirement of Ray and Chris. She also has an honours degree and she now assists Grant with the management and administration of Douglas Marine Ltd.

Ray and his wife, Chris, established Douglas Marine Limited in 1999 to purchase and run Douglas Boatyard, where sea-going boats have been built and repaired for over 100 years.  Predator Boats was established around four years later with the launch of the Predator 160, on which the best-selling Predator 165 Sea Angler is based.

Ray and Chris are now non-executive Directors of Douglas Marine Limited, following their retirement at the end of 1012, although they are still involved with the business and help out at the boatyard when needed.

Ray is a chartered engineer who has had a life-long passion for boats and the sea, he is also a keen angler, enjoying both sea and freshwater fishing.

Grant, Susan, Ray and Chris are supported by a team of skilled and time-served shipwrights, boat-builders and boatyard operatives who have experience of working on all types of sea-going and inland pleasure craft, from ocean-going yachts and off-shore power boats, to canal cruisers and even sailing dinghies.
